Solar Panel System Owners Can Now Predict Energy Production
Forecast API from Xfinity Internet Services and SolarEdge Integrates 15-minute Predictions Directly into SolarEdge Monitoring Platform
Currently Only Available for Xfinity Internet Services Customers in California, Roll Out to Other Areas Expected
SolarEdge Technologies, a global leader in solar energy technology, today announced the integration of its industry-leading solar monitoring platform with Xfinity Internet Services' new Solar Forecast API. This integration gives Xfinity Internet Services customers in California the ability to forecast their solar energy production and consumption 15 minutes in advance.
This integration is the first of its kind and represents a significant advance in the solar industry. By providing solar panel system owners with accurate, up-to-the-minute forecasts of their energy production, Xfinity Internet Services and SolarEdge are empowering them to optimize their energy consumption and reduce their reliance on the grid.
The Solar Forecast API leverages advanced machine learning algorithms to analyze historical solar data, weather conditions, and other factors to generate highly accurate forecasts of solar energy production. These forecasts are then integrated into the SolarEdge monitoring platform, which provides solar panel system owners with a comprehensive view of their energy production, consumption, and savings.
- "We are excited to partner with Xfinity Internet Services to bring this innovative solution to our customers," said Lior Handelsman, SolarEdge's VP of Marketing. "This integration will help our customers to get the most out of their solar energy systems and save money on their energy bills."
- "We are always looking for ways to provide our customers with the best possible experience," said John Stevens, Vice President of Business Services at Xfinity Internet Services. "This integration with SolarEdge will give our customers the ability to plan their energy usage more effectively and make better use of their solar energy systems."
The Solar Forecast API is currently available to Xfinity Internet Services customers in California. The company plans to roll out the service to other areas in the future.
