The opening ceremony for the 2024 Paris Olympics is scheduled to begin at 19:30 CEST (1:30 PM ET) on Friday, July 26. The three-hour spectacle will take place on a floating stage on the Seine River and will feature nearly 7,000 athletes from around the world.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on NBC and Telemundo in the United States, and will also be available to stream on Peacock and the NBC Sports app. In France, the ceremony will be broadcast live on France 2 and France 3.
The opening ceremony is expected to be a grand affair, with performances from some of the world's top musicians and dancers. The ceremony will also feature a special appearance by President Emmanuel Macron of France.
